Fixed Route offers discounted fares
(tickets and passes) to seniors (55+), youth (2-18
years of age) and persons with disabilities.
All Tuolumne County Transit buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts or ramps
and can accommodate all wheelchairs that comply with the Americans with Disabilities
Act (ADA).
Seniors 55 years of age or older and persons with disabilities are eligible
for Tuolumne County Transit Dial-A-Ride services.
Dial-A-Ride offers curbside pick-up and drop-off service Monday through Saturday.
Advance reservations are required.
How to Schedule a Dial-A-Ride Trip
Passengers must reserve trips for the Tuolumne County Transit Dial-A-Ride
Service in advance, no later than the day before a trip is needed, sooner
when possible, but no sooner than 14 days in advance of the trip time.
To reserve a ride, phone the Tuolumne County Transit office at 532-0404,
or 962-4098 for toll free service in the Groveland area. Inform the dispatcher
if an attendant or companion will be traveling with the passenger and/or
if a wheelchair or other mobility device will be used.
Reservations may be made between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.,
Monday through Saturday, except holidays (see holiday section of this
website for schedule). Reservations may be made on Sundays and holidays
by leaving a voice recorded message requesting the desired travel time
and place, and a return call phone number to confirm your trip. You will
be called back to confirm trip reservation after 5:00 p.m. on Sunday
or the holiday, as appropriate.
Trips are provided on a space available
and priority basis. ADA (Americans with Disabilities
Act) certified persons will receive priority service. When space is available
same day service will be provided. (For information on how you can become

Return trip reservations should be made when you schedule
your initial trip. "Will call" return
trips will be accommodated on a space available basis.
Persons making "will
call" return trips should expect pickup delays
of up to two hours.
Transfers
Passengers may transfer free from Dial-A-Ride to any
Tuolumne County Transit fixed route.
Cancellations
If your plans change and you no longer need your scheduled
trip, please let the Transit Office know as soon as
possible so they can provide a ride to someone else
in need. To cancel a scheduled trip, call the Transit
Office at 209-532-0404 (or 962-4098 toll free from
Groveland) as soon as you know you don't need the ride,
or at least one (1) hour prior to your scheduled pick
up time.
